ODISHA PREMIERE LEAGUE (OPL) CRICKET TOURNAMENT ON RADIO CHOKLATE

Radio Choklate 104 FM, Odisha’s Apna No.1 station, bags the exclusive radio partnership for the upcoming Odisha Premiere League (OPL) slated to be held from 22 May to 12 June. Organizer of OPL is Orissa Cricket Association (OCA).
Choklate listeners will have access to all the inside news, gossip, player auctions, match info etc
The leading FM station got confirmation of this exclusive partnership which is updated today.
Radio choklate director Tanaya Patnaik says-
“20-20 in Odisha will be hugely popular, especially in rural and semi rural areas. Radio Choklate partnership with OPL is a valuable association and there are great many opportunities in this. We are planning exclusive OPL coverage which we are sure that it will keep listeners glued to our station.”

OCA President Ranjib Biswal says –
“All the listeners will be able to listen to the match explanation, players talk, match information, notices etc. It is the most important and developmental step for awareness and increasing the popularity of OPL. Many thanks to Radio Choklate for Promoting OPL and making listeners delighted. I wish grand success to Radio Choklate.”

OPL format is as usual as of IPL; except taking the players from outside the state. As per the rules, everything will form by BID; such as Franchisee selection, tendering players, Franchisee and Player’s base price decision, and situating tournaments inside and outside the state etc. There are 10 no. from 13 towns such as Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Balasore and Keonjhar. Total Matches will be 44 in OPL. The OPL champion will get a trophy and cash prize of Rs 4 lakh. The runners-up will get Rs 2 lakh. Teams finishing third and fourth will get Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 respectively. Fifty per cent of the profit generated from the OPL will be donated to government recognized orphanages of the state for utilization in education, health and physical activities. Other 50 per cent will be distributed among the franchise owners.
So Choklate listeners are invited to have access to such a huge awaited event and the data/news related to it.
